Bill 198

I am working with a Coalition on affordable housing in my area, and we are trying to understand the status of the private member’s  Bill 198. Is the Bill still active or terminated?

  • Bill 198, An Act for Inclusionary Housing died on the order paper when the legislature provincial legislature was prorogued in order to introduce a new throne speech and budget.

    It is our understanding that Cheri Di Novo, the member who originally introduced the bill will be re-introducing it in the current sitting.

    We will keep people posted on this.

  • It is now the end of July 2010, what is the status of Bill 198. What is the next step? And when will it be taken?

  • Bill 198 was re-introduced in the legislature as Bill 58 and passed in June. The bill is now before committee and should be dealt with when the legislature reconvenes this fall. See this post for further information
